The project concerns the installation of an underground twin-pipe thermal energy distribution network, carrying hot water (and, in the future, potentially chilled water), from a central point to the administration and education buildings of Section A of the University Campus, north of ZEP, Municipality of Kozani. The network starts at the proposed connection point to a DN 200 mm pipeline of the existing ZEP district heating network, in accordance with the design drawings, and terminates at the electromechanical (E/M) plant rooms located in the basements of the consumer buildings. The length of the distribution network to be constructed is approximately 768 m (trench length), with pipelines having nominal diameters ranging from DN 65 mm to DN 150 mm. The design and construction of the network comply with the requirements of EN 13941:2019 – District heating pipes. Design and installation of thermal insulated bonded single and twin pipe systems for directly buried hot water networks. Installation, while the factory pre-insulated pipes used comply with EN 253.
