The project concerns the Energy retrofitting of the Municipal Administration Building of Neapoli, Municipality of Voio, through the following interventions:

Installation of external thermal insulation to the building envelope, using 7 cm-thick graphite-enhanced expanded polystyrene insulation, applied to the external walls of the building envelope and the ceiling of the pilotis.

Thermal insulation of structural elements, through the installation of 10 cm-thick mineral wool boards on the roof slab of the first floor.

Replacement of external window and door frames. The existing timber frames with single glazing were replaced with energy-efficient aluminium frames with double glazing, with a total glazing thickness of 27 mm.

Replacement of the heating generation unit. The existing old boiler was replaced with a new, modern condensing oil-fired boiler with weather-compensated control, together with replacement of the existing headers, circulation pump, flue, and steel piping in the boiler room.

Installation and replacement of air-conditioning units. All existing air-conditioning units (11 units) were replaced with new split-type inverter units with a high Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER). In addition, 8 new air-conditioning units were installed in areas where no units previously existed.

Replacement of lighting fixtures. The lamps in the multipurpose hall were replaced with new LED lamps, while all lighting fixtures throughout the remainder of the building were replaced with new LED-type fixtures.
