The project involved a series of interventions aimed at effectively maintaining the former primary school building, so that it could be handed over to the local community for new use. More specifically, maintenance works were carried out on the roof, with a total horizontal area of approximately 137 m², as well as on the external canopy, and all external window and door frames were replaced with new ones. The general roof maintenance works included the replacement of roof tiles, replacement of the timber elements in areas where deterioration had occurred, installation of new roof boarding, installation of stainless-steel sheet metal cladding where required, application of waterproofing, and construction of new chimneys. As regards the external window and door frames, all were replaced with new wood-effect aluminium frames, both to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption and to enhance the security of the building.
