The project involved the complete restoration of the Old Secondary School of Vevi, located in the Municipal District of Vevi, Municipality of Florina, and its adaptive reuse as an Environmental Education Centre (K.P.E.).

The building is one of the most significant examples of a large-scale Neoclassical building, characterised by simplicity, symmetry, the tripartite organisation of its volume along the length of the building, and decorative surrounds around the openings of the façades. It is a stone-built structure with a hipped tiled roof, timber intermediate floors, timber ceiling finishes, and a timber staircase connecting the ground floor with the upper floor.

All works required for the structural strengthening and complete construction and fit-out of the building, so that it would be fully operational as an Environmental Education Centre, were carried out. These included building works; plumbing installations (internal and external water supply and sewerage systems); electromechanical installations (heating, electrical installations, lightning protection, fire protection, etc.); telephone installations; all necessary connections to the utility and infrastructure networks, excluding the external telephone networks; as well as the necessary works for the restoration and landscaping of the surrounding area.
